The Mongolian National Film Council, under the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia, actively participated in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival held from February 15 to 25 in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. Throughout the festival, they organized events such as “Mongolian Film Day” and “Mongolian Night” to showcase and promote Mongolia’s rich culture and heritage. An exhibition featuring photographs from the golden era of the Mongolian Film Industry was also presented. Additionally, the council provided insights into the legal framework of the Mongolian film industry, reimbursement procedures, and the breathtaking landscapes of Mongolia, encouraging international producers and filmmakers to consider the country for their next projects.

On February 20th, a significant meeting took place where representatives of the Mongolian National Film Council met with Mr. Ingo Mix, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media, along with the Head of the Culture and Art Department, and Ms. Els Hendrix, a Film Production and International Cooperation Specialist. The meeting facilitated discussions on co-production treaties and collaborative projects between the governments, focusing on initiatives like coordinating “Film Day,” training and empowering industry specialists, and exchanging experiences.

Among the attendees from the Mongolian National Council were Undral.Ch, Chairperson of the Mongolian National Film Council; Nomin-Erdene. G, Head of the International Relations and Cooperation department; and Oyuntuya. O, Cultural Envoy of the Mongolia.
