“DECLARING HUMAN RIGHTS THROUGH CINEMA” OPEN DISCUSSION FORUM WAS SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED

DECLARING HUMAN RIGHTS THROUGH CINEMAOPEN DISCUSSION FORUM WAS SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED

Within the frame of the Kharkhorum international film festival, an open discussion ‘Declaring human rights through cinema’ was successfully hosted at the ‘Chinggis Khaan’ National Museum. The discussion forum started with opening remarks by Enkh-Amgalan Ch, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, and Tungalag D, Member of National Committee for Human Rights, and General Coordinator of ‘All for Education Mongolia’ civil society coalition.

The forum focuses on how the pace of development of information technology, which has huge impact in human lives, inspiring Mongolian screenplays and cinema field. It also aims to raise collaboration of artists and filmmakers for reflecting human rights accurately and favorably into their artworks.

Speakers of the forum were Erkhembaatar J, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Communication, Naranjargal Kh, Chairman of the Board of Globe International Center, Yi Han, producer, director and honored guest of the Kharkhorum film festival, and Sunjid D, Board member of National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia.

At the forum, a panel discussion ‘Screenplay and Human Rights’ took place, during which Mongolian human rights activists, academics and filmmakers exchanged their views.
