KHARKHORUM INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES THE WINNERS

14 films from 9 countries were nominated for inaugural edition of the Kharkhorum International Film Festival-2023 and the winners were announced on December 12.

Out of 10 films nominated for the ‘Best feature film’ section, ‘Harvest Moon’ by actor and director B. Amarsaikhan have won. 4 films were nominated for “Best documentary film” category, and the award goes to the documentary feature “Transition” by filmmakers Jordan Bryon and Monica Villamizar. “The Animal Kingdom” was presented an award in the section of “Best human rights film”. “Kharkhorum” international film festival is dedicated to showcasing talented artists for extraordinary events at an international level.

“FILM ICON AWARD’ was presented to producer of “Guru media” Ariunaa Tserenpil, as a way to show appreciation for her work in the film industry for over 30 years, and her contribution of producing and making quite a few films in collaboration with foreign artists and discovering skills of newcomers.
