07/08/2024FILM PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED AT THE 29TH BUSAN INTERNATIONAL
FILM FESTIVAL HAVE BEEN CHOSEN
The Mongolian National Film Council, under the Ministry of Culture, Sport, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia, will host the “Mongolian Pitch Session” at the 29th Busan International Film Festival as part of the “Asian Contents & Film Market” on October 02-11, 2024.
8 artists submitted project materials in total, and submissions for projects were accepted between July 18, 2024, and August 5, 2024, if they wanted to be presented at the event.
As a part of the selection process, the MNFC was discussed at the regular meeting on August 6, 2024, in which the artists who had submitted their concepts showed their work. After discussing the submissions, the following three projects were selected.
- “Fiasco in Gobi” film project, initiated by director Bat-Amgalan.L, producer Nomin.G
- “A Story Of Great Man” film project, initiated by director Battulga.S, producer Sumiya.S
- “Torturer” film project, initiated by director Baatar.B, producer Angarag.S.
In addition, the open selection of film distribution companies willing to participate in the “Asian Contents & Film Market” at the 29th Busan International Film Festival was announced for the period from July 18, 2024, to August 5, 2024. On August 6, 2024 during the MNFC’s regular meeting, the selection was considered and 1 film distribution company was chosen.
