The center of Dundgovi Province is Mandalgovi City. The city is located 270 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar, at an altitude of 1,395 meters above sea level, and occupies 11 km2 of steppe. The highest point in the steppe is 1,530 meters above sea level, and the lowest is 980 meters. Delgerkhangai mountain, the highest point in the entire province, is 1,913 meters above sea level.

Khairkhan tourist camp was established in 2016 and is located 25 kilometers south of Sainshand City, the capital of Dornogovi Province. The tourist camp has a capacity of 105 people per shift, 17 yurt hotels, a restaurant with 60 seats, staff rooms and showers. It is located along the paved road to Khamrin Monastery, 450 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.
