LOCATION: MONGOLIA, BAYAN ULGII AIMAG, TOLBO SOUM

NOTE Tolbo Lake is located 45 km south of Ulgii, the capital of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, and stretches from southeast to northwest along the main road from Ulgii to Khovd. The lake depression is a freshwater lake of tectonic origin, and glaciers have played an important role in the formation of the reservoir. The longest part of the lake is 21.5 km long and 6 km wide. In the southeastern part of Lake Mandal, it is 2,089 m above sea level, and in the northwestern part, near the Turgen River, it is 2,079 m above sea level. The lake is located 1249 km from Ulaanbaatar.
