LOCATION: RENCHINLKHUMBE AND KHANKH DISTRICTS,  KHUVSGOL PROVINCE

NOTE Reindeer herding communities live in the Ulaan-Uul, Renchinlkhumbe, Bayanzurkh and Khankh districts of Khuvsgul province. They are members of the Tuvan people, who have traditionally made a living by herding and hunting reindeer in Mongolia’s northern taiga. Reindeer are particularly abundant in the Burkeeleg, Jams, Ulaan Taiga and Shishgedi river basins located in this part of the country. These areas are located 602 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.
