LOCATION: HOTONT DISTRICT, ARKHANGAI PROVINCE

The Orkhon Valley Cultural Monument was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2004 and is the first cultural monument to be registered in Mongolia. The cultural monument is located about 360 kilometers west of Ulaanbaatar in Khotont and Khashaat Districts of Arkhangai Province, and some parts of Kharkhorin, Bat-Ulzii and Khujirt Districts of Uvurkhangai Province.
