NatureLAKE GANGA

LOCATION: DARIGANGA DISTRICT, SUKHBAATAR PROVINCE

Lake Ganga is located 12 kilometers from the center of Dariganga District, Sukhbaatar Province and is located in an area frequently blocked by sandstorms. The 4km2 lake is home to some of the rarest birds in the Mongolian Red Book, including the Gangar swan and the white crane. Hundreds of swans and birds flock to Ganga lake every fall, making it famous as ‘Ganga of 1,000 Swans’. It is located 617 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.
