NatureKHUGNU TARNA NATURE PARK

LOCATION: RASHAANT DISTRICT, BULGAN PROVINCE

Khugnu Tarna Nature Park is a nationally important site with a total area of ​​84,390 hectares. It stretches across three regions of southern Bulgan Province: Gurganbulag, Rashaant and Burd. The Orkhon-Tuul river basin area, which is located in this region, sits at an elevation of 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Khugnu Tarna Nature Park is formed of low mountains and hills, as well as the flat steppe area falling in between them. The mountains in the regional Khugnukhaan range are relatively low. Their tallest peak, Tsetserleg, is 1,969 meters high whilst smaller ones range from between 1,300 and 1,500 meters in altitude. It is located 256 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar
