LOCATION:  JARGALAN SOUM, GOBI-ALTAI PROVINCE, MONGOLIA

 Ereen Lake is located in the Jargalan sum of Gobi-Altai Province which exists above sea level at 1450 metre and surrounded by sand dunes. The lake itself contains fish, whilst the dunes around it are rich in brown willows, spruce, sagebrush, and sea buckthorn. Nearby is the Zavkhan river, whose banks are surrounded by twisted willows and birch trees. It is located 832 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.
