LOCATION: SUKHBAATAR DISTRICT, ULAANBAATAR
The Choijin Lama temple is a unique ensemble of late 19th and early 20th century architecture, sculptures and works. The building complex was built for the religious activities of the state oracle Choijin Luvsankhaidav in 1904-1908. More than 300 talented craftsmen led by the famous architect Ombo were involved in the work. The temple, now a museum, is a complex of Mongolian historical, religious and cultural heritage with 5 temples and 5 gates of worship. It includes the Mahranz, Gol and Zankhan, Zuug and Yadam temples, Khotol shrine, and Enkh-Amgalan continent temple.
