LOCATION: TSAGAAN OVOO DISTRICT, DUNDGOVI PROVINCE

This site is located 5 kilometers from Tsagaan-Ovoo district center, Dundgovi Province. The monastery was built in the late 1800s and 1910s and was named the ‘Ash Monastery’ because it was the site of a burning building at the time of the monastery’s construction.
