LOCATION: BARUUNBUREN DISTRICT, SELENGE PROVINCE

Amarbayasgalant monastery is located on the banks of the Iven river in the foothills of Burenkhan mountain. It was built in 1727 – 1737. The monastic complex has an oriental architectural style in terms of its design and appearance. Amarbayasgalant monastery is located in an area of natural beauty. Dedicated to the Mongolian Buddhist saint Zanabazar, it is one of the most sacred monuments of Mongolian history and culture.
