LOCATION: JARGALANT DISTRICT, ORKHON PROVINCE

A number of ancient grave sites are found at Airag Gozgor, Jargalant District, Orkhon Province. These monuments were first discovered in 2008. Between 2014 and 2019 researchers at the Mongolian National Museum excavated 23 of more than 100 graves. They date back to the end of the Xiongnu Empire during the Xiangbei Dynasty.
